Here’s the breakdown of the latest news in nerd culture:

The First Look of Tom Holland as Nathan Drake in the Uncharted Film

Tom Holland’s appearance as Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movie has finally been revealed. In the image, Holland is dressed almost identically to Drake from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, including the ring he wears around his neck at all times. He’s got blood on him and has a disheveled appearance after some tomb raiding and presumably some combat. He’s standing in what appears to be a wrecked ship, showcasing how incredible the set design might be for the film.

Overall, the attire and the set look great, and Tom Holland’s acting may fit Nathan Drake’s personality. However, what may lead to issues is Holland’s age. He’s much younger than Drake is in the video games. It’s said he’s playing a younger Drake like in the flashbacks seen in the source material, but a whole movie of that may not feel quite like the games do. His age may lead to other complications, like how he may not meet Elena, his love interest and eventual wife in the story who is one of the central characters. Fans are a little confused and concerned over the casting choice due to his age, especially since he’s dressed as adult Nathan Drake.

An image of Mark Wahlberg has surfaced featuring the actor with a mustache. He’s been cast as Sully for the film, so this could potentially be our first glimpse as Wahlberg as Nathan Drake’s mentor.

The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special to Premiere on Disney+

That’s right, this November 17 on Disney+, we’ll be able to venture back into the galaxy far far away to celebrate Life Day. The special will take place after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, when Rey parts from her friends to prepare for Life Day as she embarks on an adventure to gain deeper knowledge of the force.

It’ll be exciting to see what happens next for Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose, and the rest, and in LEGO form. Plus, it’ll likely be better than the older Star Wars Holiday Special many of us watch during bad movie nights.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 4 Release Date Announced

Netflix has announced that Part 4 of their hit magical series, the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, will be releasing on December 31st later this year. This will be the final 8 episodes of the series, so hopefully they are able to wrap up the show’s many story lines by the end.

These final episodes will have the coven and the Fright Club battle against the Eldritch Horrors before they bring the End of All Things. The witches and their allies taking on a Lovecraftian threat is certainly an exciting conclusion to the series.

Nintendo Switch Version of Apex Legends Delayed to Next Year

It looks like Switch owners will have to wait until 2021 to get their hands on Apex Legends. Making the online multiplayer battle royale mobile must be proving to be a difficult feat. EA and Respawn are hoping to have the game run as smoothly as it does on other platforms.

The Steam version is still set to release on November 4th alongside Season 7.
