The 10 Best 2026 Super Bowl Ads Ranked

The Super Bowl may be the biggest night in sports, but it’s also the biggest night for commercials. That being said, this year’s batch of ads is easily the weakest in the history of the event. Most of them were either advertising AI or crypto currency, not entertaining whatsoever, or a combination of the two. I scoured through the garbage to find the best (or least worst) of 2026’s Super Bowl ads. Here are the top 10 out of the lot.

10) Instacart ‘For Papa’

Ben Stiller and Benson Boone make for a surprisingly entertaining pair. The retro style is fun. There’s also some solid slapstick comedy here. It doesn’t lead to any uproarious laughter, but it’s still pretty humorous and fun.

9) Bosch ‘The More You Bosch’

It’s no secret that Guy Fieri is a walking caricature. There are bar crawls and conventions where people dress as him in the masses. That’s why seeing him here as “Justaguy,” or an ordinary guy, is genuinely hilarious. There’s also a bit of a pun on his name being Guy. It’s a clever use of a celebrity and is pretty funny. It’s also clear what the commercial is for, which isn’t always the case with these ads. This would be higher on the list, but it’s a tad repetitive.

8) Liquid Death Energy Drink ‘Exploding Heads’

Liquid Death had one of the best ads in 2025, and while this one isn’t quite as good, it’s still really entertaining. People’s heads blowing up is hilarious, and having a doctor discuss it like it’s something that typically happens raises that humor level even further. People trying to navigate life without their heads leads to some amazing visual gags. However, why don’t we get to see the heads exploding? That would have solidified this one as one of the greats.

7) Budweiser ‘American Icons’

The Budweiser Clydesdales are a staple of Super Bowl ads, and essentially a pop culture staple at this point. This is a more emotional than funny ad, but it excels on pulling on those heart strings without being overly depressing. It’s got a cute baby bird that bonds with a horse. It’s incredible. The shot of the eagle spreading its wings as the horse leaps through the air is breathtaking. However, it’s a missed opportunity to not have the eagle carry the horse through the air, mirroring how the horse carried the eagle when it was a baby. That would have really driven home the emotion.

6) Kinder Bueno ‘Yes Bueno’

This is a simple concept, but it’s a great one. Terrible situations occur, but it’s still worth eating a Kinder Bueno. It’s a great play on the name of the product while also making the product seem desirable. This ad also has some of the most impressive visual effects out of this year’s commercials, and commercials in general. It’s funny, looks fantastic, and genuinely makes me want the chocolate bar. It didn’t make me laugh out loud, but I enjoyed it immensely.

5) XFinity ‘Jurassic Park… Works’

As a massive Jurassic Park fan, I quite enjoyed this one. Using XFinity, everything at Jurassic Park worked. Nothing went wrong. The characters can instead enjoy a nice tropical vacation with the dinosaurs. That’s absolutely hilarious. It sells the product well and is a genuinely funny concept. It’s also got some great puns, like the “that’s one big pile of shrimp” line. It puts iconic moments on their head. They even got the original actors to do it, but it’s held back by them looking a bit weird due to the de-aging technology.

4) Pringles ‘Pringleleo’

This one feels like a true classic Super Bowl ad. It’s got the star power by using one of the biggest pop stars in the world right now. It’s really funny. It’s even a little bizarre. It’s clear what’s being advertised and it makes the product look desirable. It hits all the right notes. It’s a fantastic ad. It just slightly misses the top three because the others ahead of it are more unique for one reason or another.

3) Novartis ‘Relax Your Tight End’

This one is much more subtle than other Super Bowl ads, but I feel like that’s what makes it work so well. It’s a butt joke, but it’s a great one that ties into the game we’re all watching. Using actual tight ends is the icing on the cake. It’s a funny pun, and it’s advertising something that’s actually important. It has humorous imagery while also giving important information. It’s great all around. No notes.

2) Pokémon ‘What’s Your Favorite?’

This ad feels special, especially for those of us who grew up with the Pokémon franchise. It’s a nostalgic way to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary. It honors something that fans all over the world love while slapping a smile onto each of their faces. It’s a lot of fun to see what Pokémon is the favorite of various celebrities, and it makes one think about which is their favorite. I’d legitimately be interested to see this as an ongoing ad campaign for the year, showcasing different celebrities and their favorites.

1) Pepsi ‘The Choice’

Pepsi wins this year, hands down. Their ad has layers to it. First off, having Coca-Cola’s mascot choose Pepsi as their preferred soft drink is iconic. It throws a lot of shade in their long-time rivalry. For commercial fans, that’s pretty big. Additionally, Coke has recently been under fire for releasing AI-generated commercials, and there’s no AI in sight here. It’s all great CGI used for the polar bears. That’s double the middle finger to their competitor. On top of all that, the reference to the Coldplay concert is hilarious, but it also shows that the polar bears prefer Pepsi so much more, they’re not hiding it by running off camera. This commercial is devious, hilarious, and features cute animals. This is one that should go down in history.
