Marvel and DC Comics are crossing over for the first time in a couple of decades with an upcoming adventure starring Batman and Deadpool. Deadpool/Batman will be releasing in September and Batman/Deadpool will be hitting store shelves in November. They’re saying that there will be “back-up” adventures featuring other characters. It certainly makes one wonder which team-ups would provide the most fun for comic book stories. Let’s explore some of the most interesting options below.
Justice League and Avengers

This one is obvious, and probably the crossover most fans would like to see. The two main teams from each brand forming one big mega team to stop their biggest enemies, like Darkseid and Thanos, would be any comic book reader’s dream come true.
Doom Patrol and X-Men

The Doom Patrol and the X-Men are two teams of heroes who are often treated as the rejects or the weirdos of their respective worlds despite their incredible powers and their desire to help the world around them. Seeing them bicker and eventually bond would be wildly entertaining. Their combination of superpowers would also lead to some incredible action.
Stargirl and Ms. Marvel

It goes without saying that Stargirl and Ms. Marvel would be fast friends. They’re two teens who look up to the other heroes in their universes and somewhat live in the shadow of another hero, but prove themselves to be capable enough to lead teams of their own with their awesome powers. They would have fun geeking out over the more famous heroes but would still get serious when they need to kick some butt.
Nightwing and Wolverine

Dick Grayson is no stranger to dealing with gruff, brooding heroes who are loners. He could have a partnership with Wolverine that mimics his one with Batman. It’s a dynamic that works and leads to quite a bit of entertainment and fun storytelling. Wolverine doesn’t like to admit it, but he totally likes taking a younger hero under his wing.
The Flash and Moon Knight

This one would just be a fun mismatch like Batman and Deadpool. The Flash is more lighthearted and comedic while Moon Knight is much more serious. The Flash is more based in science while Moon Knight’s powers and lore are based in magic. Seeing these two (or four?) butt heads while saving the day would be one of the most interesting events in modern comics.
Raven and Scarlet Witch

Raven and Scarlet Witch are both witchy characters with complicated relationships with their fathers. That alone would lead to plenty of interesting character interactions. Add in some dark, magical adventure, and this story would be especially exciting for fans.
Teen Titans and Young Avengers

These two teams of angsty youngsters have a lot in common, like dealing with being in the shadows of older heroes while fighting to save the world themselves. Both teams are also made up of a rather wide variety of powers and abilities. If you’re a fan of coming-of-age stories and superheroes, both of these teams are great for you to read about. Put them together for a mega team of teens, and it’s the perfect story for you.
Green Arrow and Hawkeye

Green Arrow and Hawkeye are the main archers in their respective universes. Because of this, fans have debated who is the better shot, fighter, and character for decades. This could provide fans an official way to see them compared side-by-side as they duke it out and eventually team up. It’s also worth noting that their ideologies potentially clashing would be the true meat of the story, and not just their shared weapon of choice.
Green Lantern and Captain Marvel

Green Lantern and Captain Marvel both travel the galaxy to protect the innocent and take in the baddies. A buddy cop story with these two would be just plain awesome. They also have incredibly similar backstories that they can bond over. Please Marvel and DC, give us a space adventure starring these two icons.
John Constantine and Doctor Strange

A mystical adventure into the unknown featuring John Constantine and Doctor Strange would be a massive money maker for these two giants in comic book publishing. They would bicker a lot, argue about who is more powerful, try to out-spell-cast each other, but ultimately work together to banish some ancient paranormal evil. This has the potential to be one of the coolest comic book storylines ever.
Wonder Woman and Black Panther

A team up between Wonder Woman and Black Panther could be an intriguing one. They’re both royalty from hidden nations that can offer the world something it needs. Not only would these comic book titans make for some epic fight scenes, but this story could be a fascinating political drama in addition to a fun superhero adventure. This one could be the most unique crossover of them all.
